Some bottles you put away after using. Others find a place beside your favourite jewellery, a handwritten note, the small things you like to keep within reach.

We choose our vintage-inspired perfume bottles with that feeling in mind. Their shapes, their details, the way they sit in your hand—all of it belongs to the experience.

But the story continues on your skin.

A slower way to wear perfume

With a perfume oil, you apply a little at a time. Touch the applicator to your wrists or the inside of your elbows, then give the fragrance a moment before adding more.

There is something lovely about this small pause. You notice what you are putting on. You choose where it goes.

An oil perfume can feel intimate, something you catch as you move or someone discovers when they come closer. How far it carries and how long it lasts depend on the fragrance, your skin, and how much you apply. Oil alone is not a promise of longer wear.

Inside Gothic Rose

For Talifa’s Gothic Rose, we imagined a rose with a darker story.

Rose meets black tea, woods, and soft musk. There is a floral tenderness to it, but also an earthy depth—the feeling of dried petals kept between the pages of a book.

We blend the fragrance into a base of jojoba and fractionated coconut oil. A small amount spreads easily, so begin lightly and let it settle on your skin.

Try it on an ordinary afternoon, too. A beautiful perfume does not need to wait for an occasion.

A bottle worth keeping

Our vintage-inspired bottles are part of how we tell the story. We love the idea of choosing a perfume with your eyes as well as your nose: being drawn to a shape, lifting the stopper, discovering the scent inside.

Use the stick applicator to place a small amount on clean skin. Allow the oil to absorb before getting dressed, and avoid applying it directly to fabric or jewellery. Keep your bottle closed, away from heat and direct sunlight.

Over time, it may become one of those familiar objects you reach for without thinking. A finishing touch before you leave. A little of yourself carried into the day.

That is what we hope to make at Talifa: fragrances you form a connection with, each with its own character and a place in your story.
